I live in the Bay Area with my husband and two children. I provide therapy to anyone in the state of California and have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #53746) since 2013. I am also a BBS Clinical Supervisor and can provide external supervision for those working towards licensure.

ABOUT

I started a private practice to offer the effective and specialized care that I couldn’t give people when I was limited by what insurance considered to be “worthy” of therapy.

I believe in making sessions a comfortable space where everyone is accepted and valued. Too often therapists either talk too much or leave empty awkward silences leaving people confused or uneasy. Change and growth can be uncomfortable, even kind of hard and painful at times, but we can’t get to those places if our time in session is not comfortable together. You may be thinking, “I’m never comfortable talking to people!” I know, I get it. But I bring a warmth and easiness to our interactions, and don’t judge people for being human and making human mistakes. That may seem obvious because I’m a therapist, but therapists have different styles and approaches.

I work with clients as equals and see things from a dynamic and systemic point of view. Meaning I believe our mental health is influenced by our upbringing, relationships, community and culture. My background pulls heavily from evidence-based methods of therapy like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is the gold standard of treatment for OCD.

Fancy language aside, research continuously shows that the therapeutic bond you have with your therapist is what really brings about improved outcomes.
